Structural model of a hydrazine

Both monomethylhydrazine and isonicotinic acid hydrazide are hydrazines. They both interfere with pyridoxine metabolism and the action of glutamate decarboxylase, resulting in a decrease in the formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA and an increase in CNS excitation. (Public domain.)
