Hypertensive retinopathy

This patient has a history of acute hypertension of rapid onset and renal failure secondary to glomerulonephritis. There are cotton-wool spots, seen along the superior vascular arcade, and macular exudates, seen as yellow lines radiating from the foveal center, and narrowing of the retinal arterioles, with the artery to vein ratio of less than 2:3.
