Ataxia and chorea in a young girl with Huntington disease

This girl with a diagnosis of Huntington disease proven by DNA analysis was well until 3 years of age when she began to regress in her mental and motor functioning. She developed progressive ataxia and chorea and was no longer ambulatory by age 6. In this video, she has difficulty getting up from the chair and from the floor. She walks with a broad-based unsteady gait. (Contributed by Dr. Joseph Jankovic.)
