Frontal section of the brain and pituitary gland of giant "K"

Note the extension of the pituitary tumor inside the dilated right lateral ventricle. By a drawing artifice, the portion of the tumor included inside the sella turcica has been shown in position on the photograph to facilitate the understanding of the general relationships of this tumor. During the autopsy, the pedicle that united the two portions of the tumor had to be severed and threatened to be torn apart during the brain ablation maneuvers. (Source: Launois P-E, Roy P.
