Alzheimer disease patient’s brain section

Alzheimer disease patient’s brain section is stained with an immunohistochemical method incorporating anti-amyloid beta protein (Aß) as primary antibody. Note strongly immunoreactive senile plaques, subpial immunoreactive Aß material, and a single artery adjacent to pia showing cerebral amyloid angiopathy. (Contributed by Dr. Jeffrey L Saver.)
