American physician and Nobel laureate William Parry Murphy

In 1926, American physician William Parry Murphy (1892-1987) with George Minot (1885-1950) reported the clinical and hematological improvement in 45 patients with pernicious anemia treated with a dietary regimen that incorporated large quantities of liver.
