Radiculopathy: CT intervention

Another axial CT obtained after insertion of the needle confirms correct position of the needle tip just next to the right L4 neuroforamen (straight arrow). The needle entered the skin exactly at the intended location (dashed arrow). This is facilitated by a focus of red light pointing at the planned puncture site on the patient’s skin that also provides angle information. (Contributed by Kristine Ann Blackham MD.)
