Congenital myotonic dystrophy (muscle biopsy) (2)

This biopsy is from a 2-month-old term infant with congenital myotonic dystrophy. Frozen transverse section shows myofibrillar ATPase stain preincubated at pH 9.4, confirming that the large fibers are type II and the small ones, type I. (Contributed by Dr. Harvey Sarnat.)
