The painting Drunken Silenus (1626) by the Spanish painter Jusepe de Ribera (1591-1652), owned by Gaspar Roomer in Antwerp, but now in the Museo di Capodimonte in Naples. The central figure is Silenus, lying on a cloth (in front of Castel Sant'Angelo) and offering a wine cup to the figure behind him. To the right is Pan, crowning Silenus with vines. Evident signs of liver disease include parotid gland swelling, spider angioma (left parasternal area), gynecomastia, and ascites. (Source: Google Arts & Culture. Public domain.)
