Neurosurgeon Harvey Cushing (1869-1939)
An oil-on-canvas painting of neurosurgeon Harvey Cushing from 1908, around the time he reported a young ship carpenter with a traumatic carotid-cavernous fistula (what Cushing labeled an "arteriovenous aneurysm") (Cushing 1907).
