Ultrasound scan of pregnant woman in whom fetal acrania was diagnosed (but autopsy showed anencephaly) (1)

Scan performed using the transabdominal probe in 2D rendering in a 30-year-old gravida 3, para 0 woman with diabetes at 13 weeks gestational age. Ultrasound diagnosis was acrania, but autopsy at 32 weeks showed anencephaly. Sagittal cross-section. Amniotic fluid anechoic.
