The movement of calcium ions from the plasma (central square) to and from various body compartments. The sizes of the red arrows are roughly in proportion to the quantities moved in and out of the plasma per day. The influence of the various hormones are indicated by narrow arrows with + and - signs near their target organs, to indicate stimulation and inhibition, respectively. Image by Cruithne9 (2016).
