Pituitary macroadenoma with suprasellar extension

Suprasellar extension of a growth hormone secreting pituitary macroadenoma compresses the optic chiasm seen on coronal MRI image. Gadolinium contrast is intensely taken up by these lesions, which appear hyperintense in comparison with the white matter of the brain (right).
